MAKING STORIES COUNT

STORYLINE WORKSHOP
What if stories could help people? How many stories would you tell? Students explore a variety of ways they could help others through storytelling. Students will identify a cause, then together as a group, figure out how to provide donations to that cause through direct contributions stemming from their own stories. Part writing, part entrepreneurship, the workshop challenges students to think in different ways as they build their own charity.

Cost: $350 + $50 charitable contribution tbd. 
Length: Three (3) hours with a break - M-F

STORYLINE WORKSHOP
When Bob Dylan was honored with the 2016 Nobel Peace Prize in Literature, his enigmatic image appeared in the public spot light for a new generation of creative artists. In this Storyline Workshop created specifically for The 2017 Clinton Elementary School Show (MUSICAL ICONS), we explore Bob Dylan's storybook to discover new ways to share the magic of his lyrical poetry — giving a fresh twist to the concept of Children's Theatre.

Everyone's a detective at The Blue Train Detective Agency. Each week is a stand-alone adventure to unravel a super-sleuthy mystery! The workshop offers 10 exciting cases filled with investigation and puzzle-solving. Discover clues and uncover the truth to become an accomplished detective.

STORYLINE WORKSHOP
This dynamic workshop outlines the basic components of a story using Nick Bruel’s Bad Kitty: Drawn to Trouble. Together, the class will learn the traditional frame and structure of crafting a story, then we will experiment with different ways to tell a story.
